Rolling on a River: Fort Pitt Tunnels in Pittsburgh
I drive through the Fort Pitt Tunnels at least once a week during the summer. These are the famous tunnels that keep Pittsburgh's beautiful skyline so well hidden until BLAM! the beauty almost hits you in the face the second you're out.
This pretty view is compliments of Pittsburgh's Just Ducky Tours. I never realized just how wide the three rivers around Pittsburgh are and just how gorgeous the views of the city and its bridges can be from water level.
Have you taken a roll on a Pittsburgh river? Please let me know in the comment section below!
Happy Travels!
Disclosure: I was given a complimentary tour thanks to Visit Pittsburgh. All opinions are my own!
I visit Pittsburgh once or twice a year so have driven through the Fort Pitt tunnel numerous times. I think it is very scary! The slip road angle to join the main traffic is shocking and I am always scared.
ReplyDeleteThankfully I'm still in one piece but I'd hate to think what could happen.
That aside, looking down the river, the bridges do look impressive.
I hear ya. It's very intimidating at first, but you really can't beat the view of the Pittsburgh skyline!
