“Our goal is to showcase these heartwarming characters in a way that allows the audience to cheer and sing along throughout this emotional journey.”- Director Patty Vincent
How many times have I mentioned my family is passionate for all things Disney? I couldn't even begin to count. We make the trek to Walt Disney World twice a year and in between those times we're planning more trips! And, on the occasion that we're not planning a vacation around Disney we're chatting about our favorite films, characters, and songs.
Next month, however, Disney is coming to me. I mean, us. I mean, Pittsburgh! I won't need to drive 1,000+ miles to get my fill of Disney characters- especially those of the Frozen variety: Anna and Elsa and the gang. Disney on Ice presents Frozen will be stopping at Consol Energy Center for nine performances from March 10-13, 2016. I'll be taking Mr. Locke and The Kid on opening night and am really hoping I'll get to see all of you there!
I'm giving away a four pack of tickets for opening night as well, so keep on reading about the show and enter using the contest widget below!
About the Show
If you've never seen the movie I have no plans for ruining the plot and ending, but let's just say there's a lot of snow and ice involved- a perfect plot for an ice skating performance, don't you think?
World-class skating, along with an Academy Award-winning tale, is something that Feld Entertainment has waited for more than 30 years for with its Disney on Ice shows.
And don't think that the Anna, Elsa, and Olaf are the only Disney characters you'll see during at each performance! The show is hosted by Mickey and Minnie Mouse and popular Disney characters including a few from Toy Story, The Lion King, and Finding Nemo will bring to life the heart-warming story of true love.
And the set and scenery? It's not only all about the ice, for design will continue high into the air and special effects will show off Queen Elsa's magical powers in a way that only Disney can do.
The Giveaway
