It's the random e-mails and mentions that always tend to bring a smile to my face, and my nomination for The Liebster Award came in said fashion by A Place Like Me in a Girl Like This. I write for myself and my family, but when another blog acknowledges my effort, I'm always super stoked.
This past year, I have made the conscious effort to beef up both my blog and writing and I'm loving the results. By the way, if you want to read about a topic that I've covered but maybe want additional details, go ahead and shoot me a message. I'll happily oblige.
Accepting the award is easy and here's the rules:
To participate in the award, each nominee has to follow 6 simple rules:
- Acknowledge the blog that nominated you and display the Liebster Award on your blog.
- Answer 11 questions that the blogger gives you.
- Give 11 random facts about yourself.
- Nominate 11 blogs that you think are deserving of the award, that have less than ( or around) 300 followers.
- Let those bloggers know you’ve nominated them.
- Give them 11 questions to answer.
Now to give 11 random facts about myself:
1. I was born in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. I moved to Northern Maine with my family at an early age.
2. My husband swears that when I'm tired, the old accent comes out to haunt us all.
3. I love Irish step dance! I took classes every Saturday for many years.
4. Don't ask me what my favorite city is: I've traveled to so many that each one becomes my favorite at some point.

6. I'm a Crazy Cat Lady: We own SIX rescues, 2/3 of them all black.
7. Did I mention I adore black cats?
8. Idle hands make for a not-very-happy Karyn. I have to keep busy for my own sanity and my family's, too.
9. My daughter, my husband, and I are all left-handed. Kooky, yes?
10. I love watching the same movie over and over again if I really like it. My husband doesn't get it.
11. My first live concert was a-ha in San Antonio, Texas.
