Waking up early during our travels is always a highlight of our trip no matter where it happens to be. I adore taking photos from our hotel or resort room windows and catching the sunrise on buildings or landscape.
Remembering why I took this picture is easy. We were visiting Pittsburgh for its annual Light-up Night and were calling the Omni William Penn Hotel home for a couple of nights.
I woke up and turned over, opened my eyes, and there it was. That beautiful, golden sun casting its rays on a building hundreds of years old. I raced to find my camera in the still dark room and, before my eyes were fully opened, snapped this shot. I go gaga over ornate buildings and their architecture and this one is no exception.
