Indiana Dragonfly

Do you remember when you were a kid and used to chase dragonflies around?

Or how about now, are your kids fascinated by them?

To this day, if I see a dragonfly, I'm heading straight in its direction with the hope that it'll sit sit long enough for a quick photo.

Last week I was lucky to catch one sitting on a reed at the edge of a lake at Oliver Winery in Bloomington, Indiana. Its wings remind me of stained glass window panels and its color is just beautiful. This one was taken with my Nikon Coolpix camera with a macro setting.

What's your secret for capturing insects in photos?

Happy travels!
