Early Morning Magic and Disney After Hours: What You Need to Know

Two new ways to take advantage of down time at Magic Kingdom have been announced: Disney After Hours and Early Morning Magic- that allows both onsite and offsite guests a chance to enjoy lower crowd level and food perks for a charge in addition to theme park admission. Not sure what either is or if your family would be a good fit? Here's the scoop. 

Disney After Hours 

This new feature is for guests that love staying up late and catching that magical ambiance that late nights in Magic Kingdom provide. A special ticketed event, Disney After Hours gives guests three extra hours after the park closes to take advantage of "quicker than typical access" to Magic Kingdom attractions including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Ride and Space Mountain. Character meet and greets will also be available and Disney has mentioned Town Square and Princess Fairytale Hall as included locations. Bottled beverages and ice cream novelties will be included in the ticketed price as well. Guests will be allowed entrance to Magic Kingdom beginning at 7pm on their ticket night and will be allowed park access three hours after Magic Kingdom closes. 

Dates Include:

• April 14, 21, and 18
• May 5, 8, 12, and 19

No worries if you love Extra Magic Hours. Disney will continue to provide EMH for guests staying on property (this event takes place on nights with no EMH). 

Cost:

• $149 per ticket for both adults and children. At this time there is no discount for kids ages 3-9.

Disney Early Morning Magic

Disney Early Morning Magic essentially gives guests early entrance and access to three popular rides in the Fantasyland area of Magic Kingdom- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan's Flight, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Early Morning access begins at 7:45 a.m. and takes place on select dates.  Also included in the ticket price is a breakfast at Pinocchio Village Haus from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Cost:

• Adults: $69 
• Children ages 3-9: $49
• Prices do not include tax 

According to the rules, guests may begin lining up at 7:30 a.m. and will enter the park at 7:45 a.m. Special stickers will need to be worn. This event will not replace Extra Magic Hours so no worries there.
